He was appointed the first Irish Chairman on the world-wide panel of the prestigious John Caples International Creative Awards and served for 8 years on the Committee. He recommended another Irish Direct Marketer to take over this role in the late 90's.
Lalor International Holdings was also awarded an Echo Award by the U.S. Direct Marketing Association.
In 1993, a presentation was made to Frank Lalor by the Irish Direct Marketing Association's Chairman "in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Irish Direct Marketing Association".
He has been a Judge on numerous occasions for the annual Irish Direct Marketing Annual Awards (sponsored by An Post) and was awarded the Supreme Award for Direct Marketing in 1993 for the Murray Raphel Seminar Direct Marketing Campaign.
Frank Lalor was honoured to write the introductory chapter for the first definitive book on Direct Marketing in Ireland "Direct Marketing Theory and Practice", published in January 1998. This was published under the auspices of the Dublin Institute of Technology and the U.K. Direct Marketing Institute.
In 2003, Frank Lalor was conferred with a Fellowship of the Marketing Institute of Ireland in recognition of his introduction of Direct Marketing knowledge to Ireland and his contribution to this marketing discipline since the 1970's.
